Like the rest of the world, we have been shocked and saddened by recent events in Ukraine and the subsequent plight of its people.

It has been heartwarming to see businesses and individuals across the country and further afield pull together to collect items so desperately needed by the people forced to flee their homes and our home town of Thirsk was no different.

As a community, vast supplies were gathered ready to be delivered to the borders and our team was proud to support the cause, with members of staff bringing in items and TWC Group donating stock of sanitary items and coordinating delivery to the ‘drop off point’.

It was amazing to see so many local businesses and members of our community involved and supporting such an important cause, and we’d like to thank the organisers of the collection for their hard work.

Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.
