TWC 2019: The Year in Review

It's been an action-packed, fun-filled, eventful year at TWC Group! Join us in taking a moment to look back at some of the highlights before we set our sights on 2020!


TWC Facilities Ltd this year celebrated its 10th anniversary! From starting 10 years ago, TWC Facilities Ltd has become the regions leading provider of washroom services in the North East, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire along with providing other services including Clinical Waste and Drain Care services.

When TWC started out, it had one van and one customer. It now employs 34 staff, has 21 vehicles on the road and operates from three offices with over 3,000 customers accounting for a turnover of more than £2 million. Read more...


It had already been a busy year by May, and with so much happening in the business it seemed like taking a day away from the office and off the road to celebrate the business' 10th anniversary was the perfect idea! This was a great day had by all and some staff even managed to back a few winning horses! See the pictures...

Moving Towards a Paperless Office

Over the last couple of years TWC have been working towards streamlining our offices and the service that we offer all our customers by transitioning from physical documents to an ‘Electronic Document Management System’. 2019 saw further investment with the introduction of iPads for all our drivers, giving them all customer information at the touch of a button.

Feedback shows that our customers are happy with our new way of working and having all information about their account at hand is already making a positive difference. Read more...


Our year-in-review couldn't go without a tip of the cap to our MD, Martin Williams, who gave it his all in what is known as the muddiest event in the world of obstacle racing!

He did the company proud and after much sweat, pain, fun and lots and lots of mud, completed the challenge alongside his team ‘The Willies’ (and then swore never to do it again!) See the pictures...

TWC Continues 'Investing In People'

Investing in employee training has always been a priority for TWC. Getting the right staff, investing in those staff with the correct training and development has been a critical factor in the growth of the company during 2019.

Some of the courses recently attended by TWC staff include ADR Training, City & Guilds in Warehousing & Storage. City & Guilds Diploma in Business Administration and Digital Promotion for Business.

New Head Office Expansion

There comes a point in many businesses when the office space becomes outgrown. With TWC’s business expanding in 2019, we took the decision to extend one of the buildings attached to our Head Office to create further offices and a much needed Boardroom that has recently seen it's first meetings held within.

This is such a transformation to the head office in Thirsk and we are really pleased with the extra space it has given us. Take a look...

Annual Golf Day at Rudding Park

And of course, no year would be complete without the annual TWC golf day! This year saw the sun was shining at Rudding Park Golf Course which looked majestic in its parkland setting – perfect for a great day’s golf.

In between the ‘Texas Scramble’, guests had time to relax and make new friends whilst having the chance to win some great prizes. After 18 holes, the 1st prize went to Temple Newsam Golf Club/Middlesbrough Golf Club, 2nd prize to Cranswick/4 Urban and 3rd Prize to TWC/Aysgarth School/Nexus. We hope to see you all again in 2020. That's a wrap... the team at TWC are getting ready for some well earned rest and will be back in next year for another exciting 12 months with plenty more developments already in the pipeline. Watch this space!
